Parenting Support

Being a parent carries a lot of responsibility, and the process can be difficult at times. Whether you are married or single, you may have feelings as though you are on your own, especially if you are dealing with a difficult situation or behavior issues with your teen or tween. It’s important to address these problems, and seeking the help of a coach can alleviate the stress.

Why is parenting support necessary?

Sometimes a parent needs guidance when reinforcing rules and setting boundaries for a teen or tween. Issues, such as a parent going through a divorce, can affect a teen or tween involved. Divorce is just one challenge that can affect a family unit, and it's important that you don’t weather the storm alone. Parent coaching can assist with improving parenting skills, as well as relationships between the parent and child.

When parents come to me for coaching, they are skeptical because they have tried everything to help their teen or tween.  In fact, many parents feel hopeless and discouraged because no matter what they have tried, it never helped their child be like other “normal” kids their age.  Kids who are involved, engaged, and motivated in key areas of their life.

However, through my coaching, all of that changes.  And here is WHY.

You see, there are 3 things that set my coaching apart from any other type of parenting support:

  1. I provide parents constant support for real life circumstances throughout my coaching.
  2. I take a personalized approach to tailor the coaching to meet the needs of each family.
  3. I provide proven practical and usable tools and techniques that help parents learn how to understand, connect, and best support their teen.

Mom and Dad grow just as much during the coaching as the teen does. And if the teen isn't willing, I work hand in hand with the parents to learn what's behind the behavior, how to understand it, and most importantly, ways to approach and deal with it.

In time, you begin to see what is REALLY getting in your teen's way of being happy, healthy, and engaged in life.

My coaching is a process that educates parents and teens about themselves, each other, and erases the barriers getting in the way of really connecting.

And over a short time, you realize there is a way forward, and you start to have hope because coaching gives you the tools and techniques to best support you and your child.

If you are interested in coaching, DM me. I would love to chat to show you how I can help you stop surviving with your teen, and start thriving instead.
